At NMGYB, we believe girls deserve more than just another basketball team—they deserve a place where they can grow as athletes, teammates, and young women. Our mission is to create an environment where player development always comes first, where competition is taught the right way, and where every athlete has the opportunity to build confidence, develop character, and discover a lifelong love for the game.
We aren't measured solely by wins and losses. We're measured by the confidence a player gains after mastering a new skill, the friendships built between teammates, the resilience developed through competition, and the excitement girls carry with them every time they step onto the court.
Our goal is simple: to help every player become the best version of herself while strengthening girls basketball throughout our community.

🏀 Complete Player Package
Every player receives a reversible game uniform (jersey and shorts), practice jersey and shorts, shooting shirt, warm-ups, backpack, and an official basketball.
🏀 Two Weekly Team Practices
Two structured team practices each week focused on skill development, team concepts, basketball IQ, and preparing players for game situations.
🏀 Competition That Develops
Winning has its place, but development comes first. Our balanced game-day matchups are designed to teach girls how to compete with confidence, handle adversity, support teammates, and keep improving every time they step on the court.

At NMGYB, we've chosen a different approach. By partnering with the Rio Rancho McDermott Athletic Center, we've created one consistent home for our club program. Families know where they'll be each week. Players enjoy structured practices, meaningful competition, and balanced matchups that encourage growth rather than one-sided games. Instead of spending the weekend chasing schedules, girls spend more time developing their skills, competing with confidence, and enjoying the game they love.
We've also designed our program with families in mind. A consistent weekly schedule makes planning easier. One location means less time on the road. Our focus remains where it belongs, providing a high-quality club basketball experience that develops players while reducing many of the stresses that have become common in today's youth sports. Because we believe club basketball should strengthen families, not overwhelm them.
